One of the most romantic cities in the world, otherwise known as the floating city, Venice, Italy, is presently hosting one of the most prestigious international film festivals (behind Cannes) — The Venice Film Festival (Aug 31 – Sept 10). Closing out the summer film festivals the VFF attracts some of the most renowned talent today, guaranteeing an A-list of celebrities, and promising a plethora of some of the most stunning gowns and fashion looks.

This year Naomi Watts, Suki Waterhouse and Dakota Fanning were the best of the best when it came to appearing on the red carpet, at photo calls, and day looks spotted by the paparazzi — all pros so new big surprise there. But, a name you might not be as familiar with who looked equally as fabulous as the above well-known stars is Giovana Battaglia-Englebert. Giovana, a fashion editor at W and Japanese Vogue, is a street style star in her own right, and certainly gave the seasoned pros a run for their money. You don’t get much better than her red carpet Giambattista Valli look! What celebrities and looks were your favorites?
